A characterful villa that's full of surprises, set on a large enclosed plot just a stroll from the centre of Luz and the fantastic beach. Villa Figu is surrounded by extensive gardens, they ensure privacy and seclusion around the large swimming pool and sun terrace, and provide lawns with mature trees for dappled shade throughout the grounds and several other secluded spots where you can relax in peaceful sun or shade. Built on two levels, a sweeping staircase leads to the upper floor and the master bedroom; it has a king-size bed which can be split into two single beds if we are advised in advance. The master bedroom has a door to the solarium and an en suite bathroom with over-bath shower. Also on this level is the comfortable living room, it has a fireplace for cooler evening outside the main summer months, satellite TV and DVD player for your entertainment as well as wifi if advised in advance. Overlooking the dining hall below, the living room also opens into a first floor solarium with lovely views over the pool, the gardens and down to the sea. On the ground floor is a pretty twin bedroom with traditional painted furniture, it has doors to the garden and an adjacent modern bathroom. The third bedroom also has twin beds, en suite shower room and doors to the garden. The galley-style kitchen is clean, bright and well equipped for self catering, there's a laundry room with washing machine and there's access to an outdoor kitchen with built-in barbecue and shaded dining area overlooking the swimming pool. When it's necessary to dine indoors there's an attractive and spacious dining area in the main hall, like an atrium it is open to the first floor giving lots of light. Heating is not included and must be paid locally The large swimming pool is set in a huge terrace of terracotta tiles, with steps in the shallow end it has a maximum depth of only 1.6m making it ideal for nervous swimmers and many non-swimmers. From the villa it's a 5 minute walk down into the centre of Praia Da Luz for a wide selection of shops and restaurants and the wonderful sandy beach, where you'll find well located beach restaurants and a wide choice of water sports. Luz is well known for its sporting activities which include a full range of water sports and a renowned tennis centre where coaching is available. There are a number of golf courses in the area, with Boa Vista on the way to Lagos perhaps the nearest.
