The hotel Vila Galé Albacora is the result of the restoration of the former tuna fishing camp (Arraial Ferreira Neto) and is integrated in the Natural Park of Ria Formosa in Tavira. This hotel in Tavira, is a true eco-hotel that has received awards and recognition for its sustainable environmental practices and where the activities related to nature tourism is a major strength. The old fishermen houses were converted into rooms with history and tradition and with beautiful views of the Ria Formosa and the hotel has preserved the chapel and the old school for the children of the fishing camp residents.
